Ohio Theatre 2nd Post
Those of you that are “Quick” will see that I have been looking at my referance photos, and that after three days of painting, repainting, and then repainting the repainting, I have now painted in the correct name on the front of the marquee.
As it was
As It Now Is
You will also note that (It is hard to see perhaps) the “Public Library” that is on the second floor of the “Theatre” has a sign, as does “Ds” Restaurant down the street.
There still a couple of more buildings to go in; a large one that was on the north-west corner of Water Street, (I’ve been told that it was an A&P, or perhaps a Kroger store) and what is now the Hanover House across the street.
I realize that it is difficult to see the detail of a 4 X 5 inch picture of a 24 X 30 inch painting. I will try to get a few close-ups of parts of the painting on the next Newsletter. There should also be people inhabiting the “3rd Post”. Maybe even a couple of 1950 cars.
For those of you that were around—–
