Red-tail Hawk, Beginning to Paint

Since the last Newsletter the bird has moved along a bit. It has been baked, painted with Gesso, and the first of the acrylic paint is beginning to be washed in on the base. If you’re interested in a detail of the process, send me an email to Details of the process and I’ll send you a step-by-step of the process. It will probably be pretty dull to the casual viewer, but if you’re interested in polymer clay sculpting it may give you some insight into the process.

  2. Actually the Hawk is a male. The male is just a bit smaller than the female which makes the sculpture life size. Thanks for your comment.
