The Start Of The Spring Season – 2018

I’ve been puttering with “The Bears” throughout the Winter, but now the weather is smoothing out (Well this is Ohio so “Smooth” is a matter of interpretation). The pictures of  “The Bears” shown below are taken from different angles.

This is the starting point for the 2018 season. Honestly it’s only a guess, but if everything goes well, the carving should be completed by late August of this year.

Incidentally, you may see some rather large pieces of wood shown in some of these photos. There are four pieces all roughly the same time. If anybody needs some free firewood – – – – Come and Get It!!!!

Bob, are you still using the battery saw exclusively?

    • Hi Dale,
I’ve been using the “Battery Chain Saw” for the roughing in,
a hammer and chisel for the shaping, and a rotary grinder for the detail.

I’m still a couple of months from completion as far as I can tell. Incidentally, the Greenworks chainsaw is working GREAT!!!

    • Hey Dale,
How about contacting me about a string trimmer that will work with the 40V battery and charger I already have that came with the Green Works chain saw. You should use to contact me. Don’t forget to give me a “Great Price”!!!
